Antonio Margarito’s Health Information

New York’s Madison Square Garden will be transformed into a boxing ring on the 3rd of December 2011 for the Super Welterweight WBA World Championship between Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto.  Margarito defeated Cotto the last time they met in the ring, although some believe that this was because he cheated by putting plaster on his hand bandages.

There have been some concerns about whether or not Margarito will be able to fight Cotto, because he has sustained quite serious injuries during his match against Pacquiao last year.  He lost very severely in this fight and was taken straight to hospital at the end of it.  Here, it was determined that the right orbital bone was fractured and he had to wait three days before being able to receive surgery, as his face was so severely swollen.  These injuries caused many to wonder whether Margarito would be able to continue his career.

Surgery was needed because one of the muscles of the eye was lodged into the fracture. Of course, Margarito’s manager and co-manager told everyone that there was nothing to worry about and that these types of injuries are reasonably common.  The one solace Margarito has is that he was able to also inflict some injuries on Pacquiao, although not enough to allow him to win a single round.  Pacquiao looked like he was very uncomfortable in the press conference after the fight, and he had seriously bruised cheeks and a swollen lip.

The fight between Margarito and Pacquiao reminded everyone why Pacquiao is such a force to be reckoned with, with even Floyd Mayweather Jr. not wanting to fight him.  Margarito, however, gladly uses this as the reason why his injuries were so severe, considering that this had nothing to do with his own abilities as a boxer.

Cotto vs Margarito is scheduled for December 3. Watch the bout and see if Margarito can remain healthy!

Don’t believe the myths about Aging

For as back in time as you can go, there have been myths about all kinds of things. When it comes to aging today, there are some myths that you should toss aside because they just are not true.  Losing extra pounds will not extend your life, actually, a little weight can be protective for anyone over the age of 75.

The idea that everyone will need a hearing aid is another myth. Some hearing loss can be normal with age but it is a fact that only 35 percent of those over 80 really needs one.  Someone once claimed that when you get old you will be withdrawn and crotchety. In truth, anyone who was cheerful in their 30′s can easily remain that way into their 80s.

One of the worst myths is that you will not have the energy to be able to exercise when you are in your 80s. Now, ninety is the new seventy and studies shows that at the age of seventy, exercising can improve your heart function by increasing heart mass and lowering that person’s resting heart rate. You might not see it often, but that elderly person jogging in the park is living proof that it is possible and the exercising myth is just a myth.

In today’s fast-paced world one needs to do all they can to stay on top of things. Ever feel run down, like you just can’t get rolling? Take a look at your lifestyle to see if changes are needed to run optimally.

Whether your diet needs changing or you need to become more active, need to reduce stress, or all of the above – it can be challenging keeping your physical health in balance. Say you manage to get your blood-sugar under control, just as you start noticing weight-gain or breakouts; does that sound familiar? It’s like a constant juggling act that switches props mid-throw!

If you can’t find the answers on your own you might do well to work with a nutritionist and/or physician to see what could be done to make you feel your best. From supplements like omega 3 fish oil to dietary changes such as trying a gluten-free or dairy-free diet, your body is an engine that runs on its own unique fuel.

It’s also a good idea to candidly review your stress-level, both at work and at home. Stress can come at you any number of sources and can strike at you through all of your senses. Even when things aren’t consciously stressing you out they can still cause underlying harm to your overall well-being. So even though it’s a challenge to find balance, it can be done by making the needed changes and honouring your body.

Things are good at home; you and your partner are in a good space. Life hasn’t been without its struggles but you’ve worked together and come through stronger. Your anniversary is coming up and you want to do something special but you’re both so crazy-busy with work! Still, it’s the little stuff that keeps the romance going…

The good news is that if you’ve both got an extended weekend you can still make a proper holiday out of it. Book a weekend break in the countryside and you can hit the ground running or take it nice and easy whilst sleeping in and lounging at the pool. In the day you can go sailing and touring the locals towns or hiking, and at night you can celebrate with dinner, dancing or even ten-pin bowling! Your short getaway can be uniquely designed to reflect your tastes and you can make the most of your time off together without any hassle.

Just because you’re saving for that big trip at the end of the year doesn’t mean you have to completely go without fun. With a short stint away you can still make magic without taking away from your precious vacation days, and without going into debt. It doesn’t have to cost the moon in order to create some wonderful new memories. It just takes a little bit of planning and a whole lot of dreaming. So go make it happen – be the fabulous guy your partner knows and loves!

Getting the right gear for your chosen sport

It’s a fact that the more versed you become in a sport, the more you realise why there’s so much specialised gear out there. And the better you become at something the faster you’ll see the limitations and may soon outgrow your old gear. Those who are deeply involved with a sport or athletic hobby know that this is all part of the equation, but it still rankles to feel the need to spend a small fortune to keep up to date.

Thankfully, more and more companies are understanding the growing need for both quality and affordability. Whether shopping online or in person, first assess your current and future needs for your gear – do you go out every week? If so you’ll want things that are more ruggedly built. Or maybe you’re a once or twice a season participant; if so you might not need all the high-end stuff that makes the latest reviews.

Then there’s apparel, and the fact that most of us have trouble staying the same size. Having trouble getting into last season’s suit? You aren’t alone. Plus some ski wear does a good enough job of combining form, fashion and function that you may even find yourself wearing it off the slopes. The upside is getting double value for your money but you’ll also be putting more wear on the items. So when deciding, really look at how and where you’ll be using your gear – because the more manufacturers start making sports apparel street-ready attractive, the more you’ll forget they were originally intended for the slopes.

If you are one of those people who want to be tested for HIV or for STDs before beginning a new relationship, my hat goes off to you.  This is the responsible thing to do to keep from passing an unwanted virus to someone else. But having this test done can be another story.

If you cannot face your doctor to ask for this test, there is another option that you might not know about. Did you know you can have this test done yourself and the results will be sent to your email inbox?  If this sounds to good to be true I am here to tell you otherwise.  All you need to do is go online to HIV testing and discover how it is done.

Once you purchase the test online you will be sent a form that you will take to a near-by lab of your choice. Here you will have a blood drawn and a urine sample done and with so many types of testing done there, no one will know your reason for giving samples.  Your test results will be sent to your email account in about two days and then your mind will be put to rest.

Who Can Make a Traffic Accident Compensation Claim?

Many people think that in a traffic accident compensation claim, it is only one of the drivers of the two vehicles involved that can file for compensation. However, this is far from the truth.

Apart from the injured driver of the car which was not at fault, pedestrians that were injured in the accident also have a right to claim compensation. Passengers traveling in the cars which were involved in the accident also can claim compensation. Cyclists that may have been hit by a vehicle as a direct result of the accident also have a right to file for compensation.

Even if you are a passenger in a car, van or a bus that is involved in a traffic accident, you can claim compensation by filing claim against the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. Even if you are involved in a road traffic accident while abroad on holiday, you may be able to file for a road accident compensation claim.

The amount of compensation awarded in a traffic accident compensation claim varies according to the degree of injuries suffered by the claimant. For example, a person who has lost an eye or a limb in the accident will be granted more compensation than if he merely suffered whiplash injuries. Insurance companies will of course try to decrease the compensation paid to you, but if you have a knowledgeable, experienced expert dealing your case, you can rest assured that you will get every cent that you deserve as compensation.

Experienced traffic accident claim attorneys or lawyers will in most cases have knowledge about how much a particular type of injury is worth in terms of compensation. They also are well versed with how to proceed to file claim. A good traffic accident claim attorney or lawyer will include all damage as a ground for claiming compensation. He will include medical bills including doctors’ fees and hospitalization charges, car repair bills, car rental charges, compensation for loss of pay in the event of your inability to attend work and also compensation for any psychological anguish or trauma suffered by you.

There are strict time limits within which you must file your traffic accident compensation claim. In most cases it is within 3 years of the date of the accident. The amount of compensation tends to vary for each case and therefore do not be misled by attorneys who quote lump sums for a particular type of injury or damage.

How To Receive A Motor Accident Compensation

Many accidents occur across the USA and around the world each day. When the accidents are minor, most people will inform their insurance provider about the accident, file a police report and then go ahead and foot the bills associated with repairs, expenses and meet other costs as well.

Some accidents are major and involve considerable damage to property and may also cause bodily harm and injury. A driver or car owner who gets involved in a major car accident may suffer physically, financially and may also lose time and opportunities. They may incur expenses when receiving medical treatment for injuries suffered as well as treatment for any distress and mental anguish. The driver may also be unable to attend to their regular income generating activities thereby losing out considerably. The car may also receive extensive damages and this may cost them plenty of money in repairs. Other costs may be incurred in hiring out another car for use while the other one is under repair or if they choose to use taxi services to commute.

When a motor accident occurs, it is possible that victims are eligible for motor accident compensation. Motor accident compensation falls into two main categories as well as one other category. There is the usual economic compensation that is meant to compensate victims for any expenses they incurred as a result of the motor accident. These may include cost of repairs to damaged car, hiring of a taxi or car rental in order to commute as well as other expenses. Then there is the compensation that seeks to award victims for the pain, anguish and suffering incurred due to the accident. Sometimes, in rare circumstances, punitive damage compensation may be awarded to victims of motor accidents. All, these will depend on the nature of the accident and will be determined through a process as set out by law.

If a person is a victim of a road or motor accident, they are usually eligible for motor accident compensation. Such compensation claims should best be handled by a qualified attorney. The attorney will assess the accident and form a case based on the findings of the assessment. Most cases will usually be assessed for free by lawyers or law firms that believe there is a case that qualifies for compensation based on the merits of the case.

It is therefore important that victims seek out the services of good accident lawyers so as to receive the compensation that is due to them.
